A series of nine (9) educational sessions designed to teach DeSoto school students about their government. The Academy is a requirement for YAC members.

Participants will learn about DeSoto’s history, tour City facilities, get a behind-the-scenes look at each department and the services offered, and experience first-hand the equipment used to provide these services. The Civic Academy also affords the opportunity to meet City officials and department heads one-on-one.
