Overview
In today's society, many women find themselves in environments or situations where some individuals don't think twice about making physical or verbal advances toward them.

Personal safety training is available through the DeSoto Police Department. All women are encouraged to attend this class and develop a "prevention and survival" mindset through classroom instruction, role playing and escape tactics training.

Procedures

• Students receive information on the victim/offender mentality and harassment management strategies
• Students experience and practice "hands-on" escape maneuvers
• This is a physical class. Wear comfortable clothes.
• Reservations must be made 2 weeks in advance
• Students must be over 17 to enroll in this class
