Assistant City Manager, Community Initiatives

Tracie Hlavinka has worked for the City of DeSoto since 1997, having served in Accounts Payable for three years and then as the Community Initiatives Manager for fourteen years, and now as the Assistant City Manager/Community Initiatives. 
      Tracie's current responsibilities include liaison to 64 homeowners/neighborhood associations; coordinator to the Adopt-A-Street program; coordinator for the DeSoto Civic Academy; Budget Committee member, oversight of the solid waste contract; and organizer of the community recycling event. Tracie's department assignments are the Action Center, Environmental Health, Municipal Court and Information Technology. Tracie holds a Master's Degree in Human Relations and Business, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She holds certifications in Management, Leadership and Debris Management.
