Andrew Griffith was a protégé of the great Marchel Ivery and was Marchel's favorite drummer. A graduate of Booker T. Washington HSPVA and UNT's One O'Clock Lab Band, he is an incredibly knowledgeable and talented musician with his love of jazz including its history. Integrating his knowledge and passion, Andrew is one of the most intuitive drummers in North Texas. He has been named the Sammons Jazz Artist of the Year, playing there frequently with many bands. Andrew has been a fixture on the local DFW jazz scene providing a steady groove for many well-known and legendary artists and musicians for over 20 years and has performed with The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis and The Ink Spots.
