The DeSoto Public Library Offers Free Adult Computer Classes!
Classes are on Monday and Tuesday mornings, from 10 am– Noon unless otherwise indicated.
Beginning Computer Basics – This 2 day course introduces basic computer concepts including terminology, hardware, software, input and output devices, and file management.

Nov. 4 – 5 Beginning Computer Basics – This 2 day course introduces
basic computer concepts including terminology, hardware,
software, input and output devices, and file management.
Registration begins Oct. 29.
Nov. 11 – 12 Internet I – Internet Basics and Online Security – This 2 day
course introduces web browser basics, search engines, and
tips and strategies on Internet usage. Learn how to keep
information secure and safe. Registration begins Nov. 4
Nov. 18 – 19 Internet II – Email (Mon.) and Social Media (Facebook
(Tues.) – This 2 day course introduces how to set up an
email account, navigate and email interface, compose, send,
and receive messages, manage a contacts list, and upload
and download attachments. Learn the basics of navigating
Facebook, the popular social networking site. Prerequisite is
Internet I class. Registration begins Nov. 11
Nov. 26 Individual Tutoring only on Tuesday from 10 am – 1:15 pm.
One hour sessions. Use the library’s computers or bring your
own laptop to the session. No computer classes.
Registration begins Nov. 19.
A valid DeSoto Public Library card, Flash Drive, and folder for handouts are required for the classes.
