2nd Quarter Update
April 2022

The Cities of Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Lancaster, and Glenn Heights have all approved governance agreements that allow for the formation and staffing of a Regional Behavioral Health Services Unit. The regional unit is operating out of Northside Elementary School through an agreement with DeSoto ISD. The second year of funding was approved through Dallas County and accepted by the City of DeSoto in April 2022. This funding will allow DeSoto’s regional partners to remain engaged in the project through financing to support the reallocation of staff and resources. A draft Interlocal Agreement for a regional diversion court structure has been prepared and is being reviewed by each of the participating cities.
